Dan Burkhart currently leads eBay's Buyer Engagement team, whose charter is to develop a user experience which allows eBay members to convene over topics of common interest in order to share, contribute, and exchange knowledge. Dan's team has launched numerous products, including: Reviews and Guides, Blogs, Wikis, and MyWorld for eBay.

Dan has held various roles within eBay's Internet Marketing group; having run the Portals and Partner channel as well as eBay's Affiliate Marketing program

Prior to eBay, Dan worked for two startups and was a Sr. Director of Business Development for NBC Internet, where he played a key role in building the company from $20MM in revenue to $120MM. Dan led business and corporate development efforts to build out NBC's broadband business unit. Prior to business school, Dan founded Prototype, a computer automated furniture manufacturing company, which he managed for 5 years before selling the business.

Dan attended the University of Pennsylvania's, Wharton School for his undergraduate degree in economics and received his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He currently lives in San Francisco with his wife, Taylor and their 16 month old daughter, Calder. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, snowboarding, photography, art and architecture.



Ralph J. Folz

Ralph J. Folz, CEO of Molecular, has been responsible for building Molecular into one of the fastest-growing Internet professional services firms in the United States.

Folz was the original innovator of Molecular's philosophy to leverage Internet technologies for measurable business results when he co-founded the company in 1994. Throughout Molecular's history, he has provided the necessary guidance that fuels the company's multi-disciplinary and value-oriented approach to client partnerships.

Prior to founding Molecular, Folz served as an advisor, strategist and consultant to several of New England's largest technology companies for effective ways to integrate the convergence of multimedia into their offerings.

In 2004, Folz was named to the Boston Business Journal's list of "40 Under 40", and was recognized as a Mass High Tech All-Star in the Internet category. He has served as President of MITX - the Massachusetts Innovation & Technology Exchange (formerly MIMC) and sits on the Executive Council of TechNet New England. Folz holds a BS in computer engineering from Syracuse University and an MS in software engineering from Boston University.



Zia Zaman

Zia Zaman has helped many companies across the technology industry achieve their business objectives. Zia is a senior vice president at FAST, responsible for its strategy, marketing, and business development functions. FAST is one of the three fastest-growing publicly-listed software companies, achieving year-over-year growth in excess of 55%, with sixteen straight quarters of strong profitability, and regarded as a clear leader in the search software market for enterprises.

The Strategic Marketing team is a diverse set of approximately 20 senior-level professionals with broad responsibilities that include market strategy, thought leadership, sales enablement, and deal expertise. One of the subgroups under Zia, the Strategic Market Development team, is charged with helping FAST grow, building the business around key verticals and solutions, and integrating his team's efforts with product management, sales, and R&D. The SMD team is also responsible for channel strategy, driving lighthouse deals and acting as subject matter experts on larger sales opportunities. The other major group that reports to Zia is Product Marketing, responsible for powering the sales force with effective sales enablement materials. Zia reports directly to the CEO and also plays an active role in many of FAST's major decisions as a member of the Executive Management Team. He has also been designated as the key U.S. press contact and keynote speaker for the company.

Before FAST, Zia was a Managing Partner at Gartner leading the North American strategy consulting practice. At Gartner, he was a respected thought leader, helping its clients develop keener insights on growth opportunities and improve their go-to-market execution.  Prior to Gartner, Zia spent five years as a key member of the corporate development team at Sun Microsystems where he led or co-led eight acquisitions and six equity investments. His deep knowledge of the storage marketplace and M&A landscape was widely heralded within Sun and throughout the investment community. While also at Sun, he helped develop the South Asian market through working with the ISV and developer communities and the venture capital network in India and ASEAN.  Zia holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT, a master's degree in operations research also from MIT, and a MBA from Stanford University.



Damon Cronkey

Damon Cronkey joined Yahoo! in 2004 and is currently a Manager in Corporate Development, focusing on mergers & acquisitions. In this role, he is a key participant in corporate strategy development and is responsible for identifying and leading business and technology investments, acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. Cronkey has spent considerable time focused on the advertising capabilities, mobile technology initiatives and content and social media segments of Yahoo!'s business. Highlights include: the acquisition of the platform provider driving the newly launched Yahoo! Go Mobile initiative; the acquisition of AdInterax, a self service rich media advertising platform; and most recently, the purchase of MyBlogLog, a platform for distributed social networking.

Prior to joining Yahoo!, Mr. Cronkey spent over four years at Deutsche Bank Securities, focusing on general corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions across Semiconductors and Capital Equipment, Enterprise Software and Services, and Internet Technologies.

Mr. Cronkey is an active participant in community services in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically a current champion of the Oakland Small Schools Foundation, a charter school network in Oakland, CA, and formerly a member of the Board of Directors of Drawbridge Inc., a non-profit organization that promotes the artistic development of underprivileged youth in the Northern California area.

Mr. Cronkey graduated with a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, concentrating in Finance and Operations and Information Management.

Robin Murdoch leads Accenture's global portal industry segment within Accenture's Media & Entertainment practice. Robin directs strategic programs with many of the largest internet companies and interactive divisions of global media companies.

Over the past eight years, Robin has helped communications, content, and technology companies navigate the changing digital landscape. In the content industry, Robin has helped movie, television and music companies develop and implement strategies to make their core businesses digitally enabled. In the communications sector, Robin has worked with both wireless carriers in the creation of consumer digital media services, and with wireline telcos in the move to IP based consumer services. Robin has helped consumer electronics companies in the development and launch of hit consumer products including gaming platforms, smartphones and other home entertainment devices. Eric Daniels

Eric is the Vice President of Technology and Product Development for BP Solar. Eric began his 20+ year (10 years technical, 10 years commercial) solar career working on the development of low-cost solar cell technology. This work led to the start up and management of two production lines in Maryland and JVs in Europe.

Eric left Siemens Solar in 1997 to join Solarex as director of sales and marketing. He then became the Vice President of Component Sales for BP Solar following the merger of BP Solar and Solarex. Eric managed the integration of the global BP Solar and Solarex distribution sales teams and customer base. Eric's responsibilities have included the sales, manufacturing management, product management, R&D, and engineering of renewable power systems including crystalline and thin film solar, wind, and diesel hybrid power supplies.



Andrew Chung

Andrew Chung is a Senior Associate at Lightspeed Venture Partners, a leading early-stage venture capital firm with $1.3B under management and operations in the U.S., Asia, and Israel. He focuses on investments in cleantech, Internet, digital media, and software. Andrew has been an invited cleantech panelist, selection committee member, and advisor for a number of industry events, including the Cleantech Venture Forum, TiECon, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory Growth Forum, and the California Cleantech Open. He is also an observer on the board of Exclara.

Previously, Andrew worked at Bain Capital and TL Ventures, where he supported investments in software, semiconductors, and healthcare. He also worked as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in Greater China, servicing clients in the energy generation, industrial automation, consumer electronics, and private equity sectors. Prior to Bain, Andrew was a co-founder and Director of Product Management at UberWorks, an e-commerce content aggregation startup incubated at Trilogy, and led the company through an acquisition by a public company. He also directed product management at OnStation, a CRM software company focused on the automotive sector.

Andrew graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Until he resigned in 2003 to found SunEdison, Jigar worked in mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, and sales - specializing in national commercial accounts - for industry giant, BP Solar. Along with working for the Department of Energy on alternative vehicle and fuel cell programs, Jigar has worked in an engineering capacity for both AstroPower, the largest publicly traded pure-play PV solar company, and Atlantic Orient Corporation, a leader in the medium sized wind turbine market. Prior to joining McKinsey, Peter worked for Royal Dutch Shell in London on several finance assignments. In the late 90's, Peter was a member of Shell's global Solar Management team and instrumental in establishing Shell's global PV business.

Markus Frind is the creator of PlentyofFish, which currently ranks as the top dating site in Canada (Alexa) and the fifth largest in the U.S.A. (Hitwise).

Markus originally created the site in 2003 as a project to teach himself ASP.NET. Most of the day to day tasks required to run PlentyofFish have been automated and the site has been engineered to grow by word of mouth, rather than through traditional online advertising spends. He has no employees and works out of his apartment in Vancouver, Canada.

Mr. Frind graduated in 1999 from British Columbia Technical Institute with a diploma in Computer Science and went on to become an web developer and database developer working with numerous companies to make their sites run more efficiently, on less servers. Now, PlentyofFish has 1 million logins every day and runs on a total of eight servers.



David S. Rose

David S. Rose is an entrepreneur, investor and Inc 500 CEO, named by Red Herring magazine as "patriarch of New York's Silicon Alley" and by Crain's New York Business as "the father of angel investing in New York" He founded New Yorks dominant early stage investment group in 2002 and in three years has made it the countrys fastest-growing angel consortium. As an active investor in dozens of young companies, David has been dubbed by BusinessWeek "The Pitch Coach" for his mentoring of other entrepreneurs. He is Chairman of network security developer KoolSpan, Inc. (Bethesda, MD) and Chairman of wireless data provider Ambient Devices (Cambridge, MA). Rupa Modi is the East Coast Development Manager for Kiva.org, which is the world's first online person-to-person lending platform for microfinance. Kiva.org allows individuals to lend in increments of $25 to specific entrepreneurs in the developing world. Since Kiva.org's launch in October 2005, over 20,000 Americans have lent $2.5 million to micro-enterprises in 22 developing countries. Rupa is specifically responsible for developing east coast operations in efforts to create strategic partnerships, build awareness, and seek new business opportunities. Since joining Kiva.org in March of 2006, Rupa has utilized social networking sites to expand the Kiva.org community; and successfully driven a project which led to Kiva.org's nomination in the category of alleviating global poverty on MySpace.com in October of 2006.

Outside of Kiva.org, Rupa is the Founder and CEO of ModiaDesigns, an initiative with a focus on leveraging digital media to develop visual content in the medical education and pharmaceutical space. Rupa carries a deep interest and responsibility in utilizing her technology to highlight causes, including tsunami relief efforts and educational funds in the U.S. and India.

Rupa is currently pursuing an MBA in International Business at Drexel University. She holds a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Computer and Information Sciences and Biology from Temple University's Honors Program.

Haystack's is the founder of Haystack.com, an online community enabling music listeners worldwide to discover and share streaming music, recommended by influencers. Haystack uses its proprietary social networking technology to enhance the connections between music lovers and artists, and to facilitate the spread of music recommendations the same way it's done in the offline world – by word of mouth. Jordan hatched Haystack's first concepts in 2003 at his college apartment. As Haystack's founder, Jordan was responsible for securing substantial financial and strategic backers, laying the business plans, and channeling the excitement of Haystack's team to the music business in and out of New York City. His enthusiasm and spirit is embodied in Haystack's creative atmosphere.

Jordan got his start in music in 1998 as the front man for a nationally touring rock group, NOXCUSE. He earned his bachelors degree from Emory University in Atlanta with an emphasis in music, sociology and business. His thesis, entitled, "The Internationalization of Grunge: Distinction and Influence on Modern Rock and Roll" focused on the social underpinnings of genre in music and the mass shifts in taste that lead to the creation of a modern music era in the mid 1990's.

I started my career in architecture, ending with the architect I.M. Pei.

Art volunteers on the Board and Executive Committee of the Brooklyn Public Library Foundation and spent 8 years on the Board of Safe Horizon. Art received his MBA from New York University and BA from Yale in women's studies with an art history concentration. Art lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Allison Thrush, a private equity professional, and his two fun-loving boys.

Anil Vijendran

Anil Vijendran is Director, Product Development in Motorola's Mobile Devices Unit. In this role role, Anil is responsible for identifying and building technologies and products to improve the user experience in next generation mobile phones. In previous roles at Motorola, Anil has led key initiatives on the Linux-Java mobile platform, mobile messaging, and operator branded services for key Motorola customers like Vodafone.

Prior to joining Motorola, Anil was a software architect at Sun where he was a founding member of the Enterprise Java (J2EE) team. He is the primary author of Jasper, the JavaServer Pages (JSP) engine, and was closely involved in the development of foundational "Web 1.0" technologies like JSP and Servlets. While at Sun, Anil also drove several industry-wide standardization and open source initiatives, including founding the Apache/Jakarta project - a Sun-IBM-Apache joint initiative.

Anil has a Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Louisiana and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering and Software Systems from Birla Instititute of Tech & Science, Pilani, India . Mark Pecen serves as Vice President, Advanced Technology for Research in Motion, Limited (RIM), makers of the BlackBerry wireless devices, systems and services. He has primary responsibility for advanced research, analytics and future wireless technology studies for RIM. He is the founder of the RIM Wireless and Networking Advanced Research Centre and the RIM CTO Board. His teams are active in the areas of smart antenna research, advanced receivers, modulation, coding and equalization techniques, cross-layer wireless network design and protocols, mobility management, radio link control, statistical analysis of system performance and the stochastic modeling of wireless systems.

Pecen holds more than 70 issued patents in the areas of mobile communication, networking and computing, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Sean was also active in the Long Island live music community performing Bass, Managing Local Artists and writing reviews for local papers. Richard Cusick was promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president and general manager, Digital Media in November 2005. Mr. Cusick, who had been senior vice president, Business Development and Strategic Planning for Gemstar-TV Guide since February 2004, is responsible for the digital media development for the company. As a direct report to Rich Battista, chief executive officer for Gemstar-TV Guide, Mr. Cusick is responsible for the oversight of the TVGuide.com and TV Guide Mobile Entertainment businesses.

In his previous role as senior vice president, Business Development and Strategic Planning, Mr. Cusick was been responsible for development activities across the company, and played a key role in strategic planning and corporate transactions. Most notably, Mr. Cusick oversaw the creation of the company's mobile initiative, which includes development and distribution of the company's interactive program guide for mobile phones, as well as TV Guide-branded content and information.

Prior to joining Gemstar-TV Guide, Mr. Cusick worked on Wall Street for three years as an investment banker for Lehman Brothers and Bear Sterns in their media and communications divisions. During that time, he served as the in-house expert on interactive TV, worked on a number of assignments involving the sale of cable networks, and provided advisory services to clients including Time Warner and Disney. Prior to that, Mr. Cusick was a telecommunications consultant for the Commission of the European Communities in Belgium. Mr. Cusick graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, and has a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio State University.



Jen Soch

As Vice President, Group Director of Advanced TV, MediaVest USA, Jen Soch is responsible for the Emerging Media practice for MediaVest clients. Jen works closely with clients to navigate the complex world of Advanced TV platforms including video-on-demand, digital video recording, interactive program guides, navigation, addressable advertising and interactive/enhanced television. Her early recognition of the growing role emerging media plays in the overall marketing mix has earned Jen applause from clients and colleagues as well as formal recognition from leading industry bodies.

Recently, her work on a multi-media initiative with Kraft, A&E and People magazine was recognized with three annual awards that recognize creativity and effectiveness of Advanced TV programs: Media magazine's Creative Media Award in Interactive/Enhanced Television, the Interactive Advertising Bureau's MIXX Bronze Award in Interactive Television and Runner-up in Digital Hollywood's OnDemandies.

Armed with over ten years of experience in traditional and emerging media, including roles in international media planning, Jen has worked on a broad spectrum of high-profile accounts including Dell Computers, Intel, Compaq Computers, Iridium, Goldman Sachs and UPS. She has also served as the Director of Advertising for EarthLink.

Before joining Global Crossing, Mr. Casey was a Managing Director of Merrill Lynch & Co.'s Global Communications and Media Investment Banking Group, based in London, England where he was co-head of the group. He led a variety of public and private financings, mergers and acquisitions as well as privatizations of telecom operators in Europe, Asia and the United States.

From 1990 – 1995 Mr. Casey was a partner and co-head of the telecommunications and media group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. From 1983 – 1989 he was a partner practicing telecommunications law at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C. in Washington, DC.

Mr. Casey also held numerous positions as the Federal Communications Commission including Deputy Chief and Acting Chief, Common Carrier Bureau and Assistant to the Chairman and Assistant to the Chief of the Cable Television Bureau. Mr. Casey received a Presidential award for management excellence at the FCC. He also served as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice where he worked on the government's case against the Bell System and at ITT, where he did economic analysis in connection with its entry in the U.S. market.

Rodger Desai is an early investor and advisor to Kiva.org, which is the world's first online person-to-person lending platform for microfinance. It allows individuals to lend in increments of $25 to specific entrepreneurs in the developing world. Since Kiva's launch in October 2005, over 20,000 Americans have lent $1.5 million to micro-enterprises in 22 developing countries.

Outside of Kiva.org, Mr. Desai is president and CEO of Rave Wireless, Inc.. Since co-founding the company in November 2004, he has helped build Rave Wireless into the leading provider of mobile phone applications for college students, offering applications that strengthen campus communities, enhance learning and increase safety. Prior to starting Rave Wireless, he served as co-founder and CEO of Vettro Corporation, a leading mobile business application company.

Mr. Desai has also worked as an executive at Accenture, at which he oversaw more than $240 million telecommunication projects in North America and Western Europe. In addition, he also served as founder and GM of the Digital Donations Initiative, which was acquired by Accenture. Digital Donations was critical in launching micro-finance enterprises such as Grameen Bank's Village Phone in the developing world.

Due to his mobile technology expertise, he was recently asked to assist the United States Agency for International Development, where he leveraged his experience to launch disease surveillance initiatives for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Coalition Provisional Authority of Iraq.

Lisa Friendly is a product manager at Benetech, a Silicon Valley nonprofit organization that creates effective technology to meet social needs. Lisa manages the interface between the content experts who design innovative humanitarian projects and the Benetech engineers who implement the software to run those projects.

Lisa oversees three major Benetech programs: Bookshare.org, which provides assistive technology access to books, newspapers and magazines for those with print disabilities such as a dyslexia or impaired vision; Route 66, an Internet-based educational service that provides literacy instruction to adolescent and adult readers with learning disabilities; and the Conservation Management Program, a consortium of major conservation foundations which are creating a shared visualization and data management environment for those working on conservation projects around the world.

In his MWG role, Mr. Paradise oversees Cisco's work with mobile operators as they transition their mobile networks to an IP based infrastructure. This allows mobile operators to pursue a new competitive edge and take advantage of their vast installed base to grow revenue by adding IP services to their offerings. In addition, the MSCBU is responsible for Call Control products for Cisco including Softswitches used for Carrier Voice Over IP.

As Cisco's Site Executive in RTP, Mr. Paradise represents Cisco and its approximately 3500 RTP based employees in the external community. He works with the local business community, state and local government to insure the existence of an environment that supports Cisco's presence in the community. Mr. Paradise also works with other Cisco leaders in RTP to foster the advancement of Cisco culture and teamwork on the site.

Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Paradise worked at IBM as a senior manager at the Thomas Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, New York.

Mr. Paradise is a founding member of the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property Management Taskforce and is Cisco's executive lead for Wake Forest University. He also serves on the Board of Directors for NIUSR and the Orange County Advisory Board for Habitat of Humanity.

Mr. Paradise holds a Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Syracuse University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hartford.



Richard Cho

Richard Cho is responsible for the development of next-generation features and capabilities for Digital Phone, Time Warner Cable's home phone service. Introduced in mid-2004, Digital Phone has grown to more than 1.8 million subscribers and is a key part of Time Warner Cable's triple play bundle. Currently he is managing the release of Time Warner Cable's new web portal infrastructure along with its first applications in residential voice. He is also leading an effort to drive Digital Phone growth by determining the optimal pricing, positioning, and promotional strategy for the phone product along with developing a game plan to reduce churn.

Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Richard was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he worked with leading telecom, high-tech, and media clients.

Richard holds a bachelors degree from New York University in Physics and Mathematics and a masters degree from Harvard University in Astrophysics.

Martin Kon is a Director of Mercer Management Consulting and heads the firm's global Media, Entertainment & Customer Analytics activities. He serves clients from New York and London.

Mr. Kon has consulted to some of the world's leading media, entertainment and telecommunications companies, including telcos, cable MSOs, ISPs, Pay TV operators, film studios/distributors, TV broadcasters, magazine publishers, entertainment parks, and equipment and consumer electronics manufacturers.

A citizen of Canada, the UK and Germany, Mr. Kon has lived and worked throughout Europe and North America, including the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal. He has led several studies to validate consumer demand for emerging sectors such as iTV, VoIP and Mobile Entertainment, and his perspectives have been featured in The Financial Times, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Harvard Management Update, Marketing Magazine, Telephony, Media Week, Business 2.0, Mercer Management Journal, and Media Context.

Prior to NetGenesis, Larry was president of PC DOCS, Inc. (DOCSF), a leading developer of document management software for enterprise networks. Prior to joining PC DOCS, Larry was senior vice president of marketing and business development at Interleaf, Inc. (LEAF), where he defined and implemented the corporate strategy that put its electronic publishing solutions in a top market position and helped grow the business to more than $120 million in revenue.

Prior to VMware, Ashmeet was CEO of Sidana Systems, a successful enterprise-software company that pioneered Docsan for publishing ultra-large (terabyte) documents. He bootstrapped Sidana Systems from inception through growth to its acquisition by Doclinx. Ashmeet began his professional career at Hewlett-Packard and later Silicon Graphics, holding various key technology roles. Ashmeet currently serves on the board of Sanrad and Atto Devices. Anupendra Sharma is Investment Partner in the Medical Solutions Fund at Siemens Venture Capital in Boston. He is most actively focused on investing in US, China and Israel. He focuses on opportunities including imaging and applications, in-vitro and point of care diagnostics, navigation systems, imaging biomarkers, software, healthcare IT, and minimally invasive oncology and radiation therapy. He is involved in SVC investments in Sequenom (NASD: SQNM) and U-Systems.

He previously was Director of Mergers & Acquisitions at Siemens Corporation, responsible for Medical transactions in the USA. He has completed over $3 billion of acquisitions and divestitures, especially in the medical imaging, healthcare IT, software and healthcare services sectors. Prior to joining Siemens Corporation, Anupendra worked in Investment Banking at JPMorgan and Salomon Smith Barney in New York, strategy consulting for McKinsey in London, and Product Development Finance for Ford Motor in the UK, where he was a member of the core team that launched Ford in China and India.
